Kendal & Dylan | A Timeless Summer Wedding at Heron's Hollow by Molly Kate Photography, East Coast & Pennsylvania Wedding Photographer

Updated: Jun 26

Some love stories begin with new chapters, and for Kendal and Dylan, it all started when they joined the swim team at Messiah University. While dating, they both attended the same World Literature night class of mine (Yes, I am an adjunct professor at my alma matter- it is the best!) and were the sweetest students. That summer Dylan popped the question and I was thrilled to onboard them as one of my 2026 wedding couples. Years after those first practices and shared memories, they stood hand in hand beneath the summer sun nestled in the secluded Pennsylvania wedding venue, Heron's Hollow.

Their wedding day was everything a summer celebration should be. It was warm, sunny, brilliantly bright, and filled with joy from beginning to end.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that Kendal had carefully curated a day that felt both classic and thoughtful. Her pearl necklace added the perfect touch of timeless sophistication, complementing her stunning gown from David's Bridal. Every detail was elegant and graceful.

Their wedding bands from Henderson & Co. Jewelers symbolized the beginning of this new chapter together. The bridesmaids looked beautiful in their light blue dresses from Birdy Grey and held white and blue hydrangea bouquets.

The morning unfolded with excitement and anticipation inside the bridal suite. One of my favorite moments was photographing Kendal adding the finishing touches to her bridal look with the couple's mothers, grandmothers, and bridesmaids. She stood in front of a hand-painted Willow Canvas backdrop, where the natural light perfectly highlighted every detail of her bridal look.

Laughter, and tears, filled the room as bridesmaids helped, Kendal’s new sister-in-law did their hair, and they listened to worship music in expectation of the day ahead. Across the property, Dylan and his groomsmen spent time getting ready, buttoning jackets, straightening ties, and sharing plenty of laughs of their own before the day officially began.

Before the ceremony, Kendal and Dylan shared a sweet and private first look. As Dylan turned around and saw his bride for the first time, the nerves instantly gave way to smiles. The bright sunshine created the perfect setting for portraits and their bridal party only added to the fun. There were giggles all day and endless excitement as everyone celebrated the couple they love so much.

Guests gathered outdoors as live melodies from Black, White and Steel sang through the air, creating the perfect atmosphere as everyone awaited bridal party. When Kendal made her way down the aisle, their parents, bridesmaids, and of course, Dylan all had tears in their eyes. Officiated by Pastor Trent from West Shore Free Church in Mechanicsburg, PA, the ceremony was heartfelt and meaningful from beginning to end.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour outside the barn, taking advantage of the gorgeous weather and scenic farm surroundings. A dinner from Mission BBQ kept everyone well-fed, Kendal taught line dancing lessons with Dylan front and center on the dance floor, and their friends circled around them for a fun celebration the rest of the night.

Kendal and Dylan's wedding day was the perfect reflection of who they are and it was such an honor to document this beautiful day and witness the beginning of their next chapter together.

Kendal and Dylan's wedding was the sweetest, worship-filled, day It was thoughtful in every way. As a bright and timeless Pennsylvania wedding photographer also covering Philadelphia, Baltimore, and destinations along the East Coast, documenting celebrations like this is always such an honor. Elegant venues, refined details, emotional moments, and joyful dance floors create the kind of wedding galleries that remain beautiful for generations to come.
